Our mission

We aim to make your life better. No, it's true! We at Smiling Plants want to supply you with great tools for doing your everyday life a little easier and bring in more fun.

We also want to make it easier for you to interact with other people via your Mac and iPhone. On your Mac you can do great things with ease, in a very swift and intuitive way. Your iPhone is always with you, providing you the information you need, at your fingertips. The web brings in a social aspect, a sense of belonging to a community and makes it very easy to collaborate with other people. Yet the web still lacks the intuitiveness, the consistency and some of the elegance that well designed Mac and iPhone apps bring. That's why we believe in a multi-tiered approach, where we can bring the web, your Mac and your iPhone closer together.

Our philosophy

When we thought about what makes us who we are, and who we want to be, we came up with three things.

• We want to design and build great products: We love the usability phrase "Don't make me think". That's exactly the way we try to design and build our products. Using best of breed technology like Doctrine, Cocoa, Cocoa Touch and Symfony, we strive to deliver state of the art products. We wouldn't settle for less ourselves, so why should you?
• We want to do the right thing: Being a citizen in a global world comes with responsibilities, something we think many corporations don't care enough about. We don't want to be one of those companies. For us it's important to give back to the community and to take care about the environment.
• We want to be able to make a decent living: Sure, we want to make money. Without making money we have no way of running this business. But it's not about becoming rich. Personal development and doing what you love is priceless, as long as you can afford to pay the bills.
